I had such an amazing time last weekend at the Ignite Your Soul Author Event held at the Airport Marriott Hotel here in the GTA. I got to meet so many wonderful authors and talk to them about their books, their process, and their publishing journeys. From an author’s perspective, this was a marvelous way to network and meet others plying their craft — we tend to do what we do in solitude, so it’s wonderful to get out and spend time with other writers. From a reader’s point of view, I found quite a few new authors that I will be following and reading through their entire catalogues! I only picked up a couple of signed books because the sheer volume of books I could have bought was out of this world and, honestly, I couldn’t decide. Look for me with an author’s table at this event next year!
