Rose City Romance Author Signing Event – Countdown!

Wednesday, April 8 – 2 days to go!

I can’t believe there’s only 2 days left until we get started…well, it’s actually only one day because I’m not getting to this until late in the day.

Last night, I received my charms for the Author Trinket Trade and I put them all together and attached them to my business cards…didn’t take as long as I thought it would, which is good. so I have 60 lightning bolt charms to give out – some silver-tone and some brass.

Other than that, I laid out my banner so that it will hang flat when I put it up Friday night. I had planned to go and unload my stuff at Caesars Windsor tomorrow, but there have been lots of mixed messages around this process, so I’ve decided to bring everything with me Friday night to the VIP night and unload then with everyone else.

I am trying to take full advantage of the professional day on Friday and I have meetings booked with an Editor, an SEO specialist, and a branding company, as well as an interview with Backstage with the Book Babes. This is on top of the workshops that will be going on all day. Last year’s professional day helped me to move things to a new level and I hope this year’s will as well.

Even though my mind is on the conference this weekend, I still have a book to get ready for release! So I spent a good part of today working on some revisions and formatting. I also chatted with the illustrator for my book cover at length. I was hoping to be able to do a cover reveal this weekend, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen now. Oh, well. I’d rather have it right than have it fast. Something for everyone to look forward to!!

That’s it for today! Remember to get your tickets if you haven’t already. You’ll find the link further down this post. I will have more for you tomorrow.

Tuesday, April 7 – 3 Days to go!

Whew! This has been quite a whirlwind getting ready for my very first Author Signing Event. BUT it feels like I’m ready to go!

Right now, I’m waiting for some charms and lobster claws to make some cute trinkets for to trade with other authors…I didn’t find out that this was a thing until I was already in Windsor, so ALL of the crafty stuff I have at home is…well, it’s at home! But I can improvise.

Looking forward to meeting everyone on Saturday or Sunday this week. You’ll find me at table 50 on Enemies to Lovers Lane. Tickets are still on sale through Eventbrite until Thursday for General Admission. Get your tickets here. See you there!
